The smallest Vedic yajña
The smallest Vedic yajña: two pinches of rice and ghee into a copper fire, two short mantras, at the instant half the Sun stands on the horizon. This site gives you that instant for your own place, every mantra with audio, and the whole ceremony step by step with a live timer.
Why Agnihotra
Agnihotra is prescribed in the Vedas as the daily duty of the householder: a fire kept alive by two offerings a day, at the two junctions of light. It asks for almost nothing — a copper vessel, dried cow dung, ghee, rice, and eight words.
What it gives back is told by those who keep it: a settled mind at the two most restless hours of the day, a home whose air and mood change, plants and soil that respond to the ash, and a discipline that quietly orders the rest of the day around the Sun.
Swara Yoga Peeth teaches Agnihotra as the first practice of the day's rhythm. Breath follows the Sun; Agnihotra is where the practitioner meets the Sun on the horizon, twice a day, with fire.
ऋग्वेद १.१.१ · Ṛgveda 1.1.1
अग्निमीळे पुरोहितं यज्ञस्य देवमृत्विजम् । होतारं रत्नधातमम् ॥
agnim īḷe purohitaṃ yajñasya devam ṛtvijam | hotāraṃ ratnadhātamam ||
I praise Agni, the priest placed in front, the shining god of the yajña, the one who offers in due season, the invoker who bestows treasures above all others.

Begin today
Open the clock, allow your location, and read the time of the next zero. Gather the six items. Rehearse once. Then be at the fire four minutes before the next sunrise, and let the voice lead.
